About this Project
This Nottingham bus station had been in use since the mid-70s. The centre has 150,000 bus journeys serving 2,000,000 passengers a year. As part of a wider general refurbishment, the City Council required high-use, long-term protection to wall and ceiling surfaces to upgrade the existing buildings.
We repaired cast concrete and tiled walls and fully cleaned off all contaminants. The surfaces required coatings with a high-grade of mechanical adhesion. We proceeded to refinish in high build epoxy finishes to complement the wider refurbishment, all completed during nights whilst the centre remained open for normal service.
